We are in Nashville, TN for the week, and I went for a little bee hunting trip today. I found this great pink flower bush, with little yellow flowerets. So in some of the photos the bees are a bit fuzzy (they just would not pose) and well – that is the way it is.
It fascinated me to see how covered some of them are in yellow pollen. Then we noticed as we were looking at the photos the little yellow sacs they are carrying. As I understand it (no expert here) they collect this pollen and take it back to the factory for honey production. Check out the yellow sacks of pollen on these guys. Some are full up and others seem to have just clocked in.
You may use any of these photos – simply credit Ben Nelson. I would love to know if you do.
